Robert Plumber Bullock, Jr., owner of B & R Refrigeration, passed away at the U Mass Medical Center in Worcester on Saturday, January 30, 2010. He was 68 years old. Bob was born in Cambridge. He was raised and educated in Wayland. He was a graduate of Wayland High School class of 1960. He was a veteran serving his country in the United States Marines. Bob had a successful career as a Maintenance Technician and was the owner of B & R Refrigeration for 20 years. He was a fan of all sports and was most especially a race car enthusiast. When was in his 40’s he raced midget sprint cars and competed in races throughout New England. He was also a talented craftsman and enjoyed wood working. He made all sorts of furniture which have become family heirlooms.
Bob was the beloved husband of Claudia (Walker). He was the loving father of Robert A. of Lakewood, OH, Randall and Susan both of Burlington. He was the son of Mary Bullock Carey of Forestdale and the late Robert Plumber Bullock, Sr. and step-son of the late Jack Carey. He was the brother of Bruce Bullock of Plymouth, Beverly Messersmith of Sandwich and Wayne Bullock of York, ME. He was the stepfather of Norma Dominque, Mike Dominque, and James Nocchi all of Millbury, Gary Dominque of Worcester. He was also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home, 43 Winn St., BURLINGTON (Exit 34 off Rt. 128, Woburn side) on Wednesday Feb. 3 at 11 a.m. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 p.m. Interment in Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Cambridge.
It's with sadness that we inform you that Mary Carey's son Bobby (Robert) Bullock passed away on Friday January 29, 2010 after a long battle with cancer. I will post dates and times of arrangements as soon as they become available.
The PPA rents the property of the beach, playground and grove areas from the land owner, Mrs. Thompson. The PPA governs those areas from June 1st through October 1st in any given year. Members and their guests are welcome to use these areas and participate in all PPA sponsered events. Due to insurance liability these areas are not open to non-members nor the general public. Please make sure you and your guests are familiar with the Rules and Regulations. If you need a copy please contact an officer and we'll make sure you recieve one. They are also printed on the back of the Private Property sign that faces the beach and the PPA bulletin board at the end of Park Road. The speed limit is 10mph in all areas of Pimlico Pines. For the safety of our pets and children please drive slowly.
Rules and Regulations
#1 Dogs allowed on the beach before 9am and after 6pm. They must be controlled and cleaned up after.
#2 No campfires on the beach.
#3 No picnicking, or eating on the beach. Except ice cream from the ice cream man, and non-alcoholic drinks brought in plastic reuseable containers.
#4 No boats to beach within the swimming area.
#5 No parking allowed in grove area or on roads.
#6 No rough housing on the raft.
#7 Rafts and floats are not to be removed.
#8 Waterfront should be supervised when minors are swimming.
#9 NO ONE SWIMS ALONE!
#10 No swimming beyond buoys for safety sake.
#11 Curfew on the beach, playground, and grove is 11pm for minors.
#12 Do not leave litter on the beach, grove, or playground.
#13 The playground is rated for children weighing under 100lbs and under 12 years old. Children on the playground should be attended by a parent/guardian at all times.
WATER-SKIING AND BOATING
#1 No boats allowed in or near swimming area.
#2 No water skiers are allowed in swimming area.
#3 Boats with skiers have the right of way.
#4 All skiers must wear ski belts and/or life preservers.
#5 No swimming in boating area
#6 All observers are to be seated.
#7 Keep boats clear of docks and piers.
#8 Slow down when passing fishermen.
#9 No skiers are to land on the beach.
#10 Pick up boat should be used when towing more then two skiers.
#11 Skiers must be dropped outside of the floats or swimmng area.
#12 No boats heading towards the beach are to drop off skiers.
STATE LAW REQUIRES SKIERS TO BE 150 FEET FROM THE BATHING AREA
General:
#1 Conduct of children is the respondsibility of their parents or guardians.
#2 Members are responsible for their guests and their actions.
#3 Speed limit in the area is 10mph.
#4 No shampoo or soap is to be used in the pond.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR FAMILY/GUESTS ARE AWARE OF THESE RULES.
Beach clean-up detail list is posted starting the first week in July. It is the respondsibility of each member, if unable to serve on the date that you chose/were assigned, to swap with another member or ask Lisa Gould for a replacement.
ALL CHILDREN ARE TO HELP WITH BEACH CLEANUP EVERY WEEKEND. THE USE OF THE BEACH, PLAYGROUND, AND GROVE AREAS ARE RESTRICTED TO MEMBERS, THEIR GUESTS AND ASSIGNS.
